Pattern Description: Children's/Girls' Tops, Gowns, Shorts and Pants It says "The garments in this pack are not intended for sleep apparel." although isn't that what this is?
Pattern Sizing: 3-6 and 7-14, I made a size 6.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes except my alterations.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, up to step 7 which was a little confusing but would have better no problem if they had the correct image with it. It says to do it as pictured but the picture is exactly like step 5s.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I mentioned all the reasons I disliked this pattern in my other review here.
Fabric Used: Cotton Jersey purchased at Joann's last summer.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I sewed on the bias tape in a different way which made it easier for binding the thick fabric and all the ruffled edges. You can see how exactly I did it on my blog.
I stitched up the back seam instead of having a button.
My daughter didn't like the sleeve length on the other one I made so I shorten the sleeves by 3" and did sew in the elastic.
Since I made this nightgown 3 sizes larger than what I bought the fabric for I didn't have enough fabric to cut out the ruffle, which was probably good since then the nightgown would be too long. My daughter still wanted a ruffle so I used a purchased ruffle I had bought last year and never used and added it to the bottom.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? No not at all.
Conclusion: I never want to sew this pattern again although my second attempt worked out better than my first.
