Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes; View C
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, they were fine. Butterick classifies this as a "Fast & Easy" pattern and while it's easy, I'm not so certain about the fast part. With 20 darts between the fabric and lining it took me the better part of an evening to complete just those. The remainder goes together quickly.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? The style in general appeals to me, especially the cut in shoulders and the fact that it is fully lined.
Fabric Used:Patterned cotton pique purchased last year on eBay.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:The clean finish "pull through the shoulders" method was used to turn the bodice. That required a bit of effort due to the narrow shoulder strap but was still preferable to the recommended way of having to hand sew the lining at the shoulders. I also trimmed 1/8" from the bodice lining pieces to prevent the lining edges from rolling out (and they still do a tiny bit). For the center front corners, after purchasing a bamboo point making tool, I found that a wooden golf tee works just as well if not better. Petites may want to shorten slightly at the shoulder seams as the armscyes are somewhat low. I chose an 8 according to my measurements but still found it necessary to remove approximately 1 1/2" from the bodice sides and upper back seam.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, the other view that is included has a nice collar so I may sew this again at some point.
Conclusion: It's a great little summer dress that I'm looking forward to wearing.
