|Pattern Description: Very Basic Maternity tops and pants|
Pattern Sizing: available in 8 - 24 - I cut out a 14 at the shoulders and worked it up to an 18 around the hips.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? It does on the hanger, waiting to see it on the user.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Very Easy
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It's a very plain pattern, and in a maternity top, it's going to look like a tent unless it's got a great fabric or some accessorizing added.
Fabric Used: First: knit jersey - soft t-shirt fabric
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Intended user / victim is a pre-pregnancy bra size 30DDD/ 30F / 30D3. As this pattern has no darts, I'm going to try to compensate by adjusting the bust. She's also a very small frame, narrow shoulders and across the back. Oh, and she's tall and long waisted so I took several length measurements on her - shoulder to hip, back of neck to hemline, underarm to hemline.
User also requested more of a cap sleeve, so I cut the pattern's sleeve piece to just have about 5/8" seam + 1" sleeve + 5/8" hem.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Already have requests for more variations on the theme.
Conclusion: Haven't tried it on yet, so no conclusion
