An older woman I know had moved to America in the '60's, pregnant with her first child. She had two of these dresses, which she had made on her hand-cranked sewing machine without a pattern. Each day, she wore one and washed the other. After the baby was born, she wore them with a self-fabric belt. So while not the most flattering for everyday wear, for a summer pregnancy when money is tight, this can be a good design.

It looks cute, I'm wondering if taking out some of the fullness and adding a belt would make it more flattering for you. It looks great.

Can you give more instruction for the adult version? Looks cool for summer, and you can tie the straps while the dress is still on the hanger and just slip it on.

I wondered how it would work to do this style for adults. Thanks for the review and for trying it.
