Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes. The drawing looked like the dress was made in a heavier fabric than called for but the finished dress looked pretty much like the drawing.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes. I read through them a couple of times and then only consulted them to get the order of construction. Very easy. There were only 4 pattern pieces. There were three pleats on the front and one on the back.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? This was a pattern that surprised me. I was thinking that the fabrics called for were too soft and drapy but the finished dress looked great. It fit me perfectly without any alterations -- a rarity.
Fabric Used: I made this dress the first time in a woven polyester (dark gray with leaf pattern). The second time I used a cotton that was slightly heavier than quiting cotton and did not like it as well since it seemed a little stiffer and not as drapy. It seemed to be slightly smaller but that could be because the fabric was heavier. It still fit well, though.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I would recommend it. I may sew it again, may even try a lightweight knit, although only wovens are listed. Since I made two, I don't know if the style is distinct enough to make more. I do plan to make tops, though.
Conclusion: I was pleasantly surprised with this dress. It went together quickly and DH thought it looked great.
