Sleeveless dress with invisible back zip and gathered skirt. Arm and neck holes are faced with bias tape. It is finished with a ribbon sash.
110-130. I made a size 130 for my 7yo. The fit is quite loose - she is about 122cm tall, just taller than the next smallest size.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, athough the clothes are not shown on humans.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The illustrations are good. There are minimal instructions in Japanese.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
This is a nice basic sleeveless dress to whip up. It went together very well. The bias tape finish is quick and easy (compared to using facings).
I don't mind the roominess so much, but I was disappointed that the armholes are rather large.
Robot print linen from Timeless Treasures.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I didn't add the sash.
Oh, and an absent-minded cutting mistake of cutting off the center back bodice seam allowance! The dress is roomy enough it didn't matter.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
No, because of the roominess of the armhole. It's a cute dress, but I have plenty of sleeveless dress patterns to choose from.
