Quilted Pillow Covers
Standard size bed pillows, as shams
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
I had no idea how I would make it or how it would look. It evolved.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
I thought through each step of the sewing and assembling. It was not so easy because I had no idea. I used some internet sites to help:
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Not having a pattern was freeing, yet harder to figure out what to do next.
Home decor fabric of cotton for casing, cotton batting and muslin for the quilting on front covers; bronze gross grain ribbon, decorative antique design bronze metal buttons, snaps for closure.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I used snaps instead of functioning buttons, zippers, or ties.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I might sew similar covers for my couch pillows, is the sense of creative design, not the fabric or buttons.
It was fun to do this for the fabric stash contest, even thought I didn't make the deadline with the correct photo and review. It was great to spend no money and use items on hand, and be free and creative with how I did this.
