Pattern Sizing: XS (4-6) to XL (20-22) I made the Small (8-10)
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? Very easy instructions...this is a great beginner pattern.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It's just simple and straightforward. I make a robe from this pattern every couple years or so. No dislikes.
Fabric Used: I used a silk dupioni that's been in my stash for 4 years that was purchased at the now-closed fabric shop in town. I wash my silk dupioni...it changes the hand but I like it better that way. It's probably one of my favorite fabrics to use.
I used Palmer Pletsch interfacing in Light Woven and silk Tire thread from Superior.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made short sleeves and I shortened the robe by 3 inches.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I sew this pattern repeatedly and I would recommend it.
Conclusion: This makes a simple classic robe with techniques that beginners could be successful at/practice...turning, topstitching, shawl collar, flat sleeve construction. It's easy to get a nice garment out of this pattern.
