Misses’ sheath dress with peplum option, and sleeve and neckline variations. New look sewing pattern.
I made View E.
I cut a 14 but ended up having to take quite a bit of slack out.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love the princess seams.
This was a UFO from last year. I want to say the fabric was a knit from Joann with a lace design. It was somewhat sheer so I lined it with crepe the closest I could find to the same color.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I fully lined the dress. I'm not 100% but I believe the pattern called for facings.
In hindsight I should have interfaced the sleeves as they are quite floppy.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I would definitely sew this dress again - perhaps without the cap sleeves. I don't think this particular sleeve/length is flattering on me. It's such a classic style. Made in a basic color, this would definitely be a wardrobe builder.
