Pattern Description: Urban Tunic. A garment that blends urban functionality with elegant simplicity. The Urban Tunic is offered in two styles, both in an A-line silhouette, subtly shaped with darts at the bust and a flattering cut.
Pattern Sizing: XS- XXL
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes but I did not need them as this is a very simple project.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like how quickly it came together but it is not my style at all. This was part of my monthly serger club at Eddie's Quilting Bee in Sunnyvale. I get three years of classes with the purchase of my Evolution.
Fabric Used: Corduroy. I like the zipper a lot. I bought it Eddie's Quilting Bee. Not sure what company makes it.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I lengthened the dress by 2".
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?I will not be sewing this again. I would recommend this pattern if it is your style of garment.
Conclusion: Fast project. I cut it out before the class and finished everything but the hem in the three hour class. That includes time waiting for the iron and the "regular" sewing machine to sew the darts, pockets and zipper. The rest of the garment was sewn with four-thread overlock except for hand-stitching the hem.
