Fabric:Sweatshirt Fleece  [See other projects in this fabric]
Pattern Description: Lola is a spin off of the classic crew neck sweater. This comfortable slip on dress features raglan sleeves, ribbed hem bands, front neckline ā€œVā€ detail, and oversized wrap around pockets . The curved seams give a relaxed, feminine fit. This project is ideal for a serger and is easy to wear when you want to be cozy in style!

Pattern Sizing: 2-16, I made a 2.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, except for my alterations to the pockets.

Were the instructions easy to follow? The directions and diagrams were great. The only discrepancy was two different seam allowances (one in the "general" directions and one in the "real" directions).

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It's hard to find patterns for knits with interesting design lines. I love the sleeve length and the overall tunic length.

Fabric Used: Cotton sweatshirt fleece from Girl Charlee. The black portions are upcycled from an old hoodie.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Instead of using the side pockets as designed, I cut off the kangaroo pocket from the hoodie and used that.

Normally I would need a narrow shoulder adjustment to prevent gaping, but I didn't need that with this pattern.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I already have!

Conclusion: Love this pattern, lots more pictures on my blog.

thanks for the review and blog photos. love the owl peeking out of the pocket. What a good way to recycle a hoodie. Nice aqua version, too.

I like what you did with the pocket, gives it a more interesting look, taking advantage of the color contrast

Nice job on the color blocking. Love how you upcycled. It looks even more comfortable than your other version.
