Fabric:Interlock Knit  [See other projects in this fabric]
Pattern Description: Lola is a spin off of the classic crew neck sweater. This comfortable slip on dress features raglan sleeves, ribbed hem bands, front neckline ā€œVā€ detail, and oversized wrap around pockets . The curved seams give a relaxed, feminine fit. This project is ideal for a serger and is easy to wear when you want to be cozy in style!

Pattern Sizing: 2-16, I made a 2.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes!

Were the instructions easy to follow? They're excellent, but this time being my second Lola I changed the order of construction to see if it would be better/faster. Results are inconclusive

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the oversized pockets and how comfortable it is.

Fabric Used: Cotton/poly interlock from Jo-Ann's.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: The pattern is designed for sweatshirt fleece with minimal stretch. Since I used a stretchier interlock, I ended up taking it in a bit along the vertical seams in the back.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? This is my second and since Spring will be here soon (right?!) I don't think I'll sew any more this season. But in the fall I can definitely see more to come.

Conclusion: Love this tunic! More photos on my blog.

Love your Lola dress. I made one a while back and absolutely live it. My DD is begging for one -- which is quite the compliment. My only issue is finding ribbing to match the sweatshirt fleece. Any ideas?

I actually tried real ribbing on the neckline and it was all floppy and terrible. On this version, the neckline is done with self-fabric from the hoodie. I highly recommend trying to recycle ribbing from RTW t-shirts and hoodies. Most of the time it's already pressed and ready to go!
