The wrong choice of fabric can be a "deal breaker" for sure! BTDT -- been there, done that! Good review! | | * * * | | Dixielynn | 2/11/06 | Yes, knits can be tricky. I have found that the bubbly kind want to mush up and not recover. I have better luck with the flat type without texture, for you never know what the texture will do under stress. I love the slinky type knits as are stretchy, comfortable, and hang well without hanging up on my hips. I have sewn lots of knits over the years, since I took a stretch and sew class then taught neighbors the techniques. I still make mistakes, but less frequently. I love to get knits at a discount, then if I mess up, Not too much investment. Keep experimenting. When starting to sew an unknown, use the scraps and simulate a neckline and try to finish it the way you planned. You may see that plan B needs to be implemented. Keep up the good work.! | | * * * | | BjP | 2/11/06 | I think your top looks really nice. Hopefully you will get good use out of it! | | * * * | |
