Maybe a lighter weight fabric with good drape would camouflage the area you're worried about. Something flowy, but not clingy. And maybe a tiny bit shorter at the hem. Or was that because you were barefoot in the photo? They just seem to bag around the ankle.

Hmm, I bought this pattern specifically for the pants. I haven't done them yet, but I will still try them. My stomach is fairly flat, although I definitely have hips & rear dimension. Send me yours so I can try them on. ;)
