With a longish tshirt underneath it I think it could be very cute. I know how you feel though, I have made some things that I just don't like. 2/28/06 3:03 PM

Georgene said... It would work if you had a dress or mathchng top and bottom in the same solid color. You need to have a monchrome background to bring the sweater into focus. It is not essentially a bad style for you, just needs to have the right background. Nothing however will help the fact that you don't care for the fabric... 2/28/06 5:47 PM

The fabric isn't that ugly, and I think it looks pretty good on you altogether, it'd be much better with a t-shirt in a color you actually like. Come on, give it a chance :-)... 3/1/06 6:35 AM

Wadder? or fashion statement?? :-) I understand why you feel like the sweater's gaping, even though it's the style - I'd be uncomfortable, too. Why waste valuable closet real estate on something you won't wear? Toss it! 3/1/06 8:50 AM
AnneM said... You should definitely import that same neckline & collar to another sweater; it's great. I personally don't like this cropped and open style; it's too trendy for me. But, again, I love that neckline & collar (& sweater knit). 3/1/06 7:30 PM

Hi Neefer thanks for this review - however I think the photo shows that the color and the fabric actually look great on you and this worn over like a solid darker neutral dress would look look upbeat but not too much . . . This is my 1st review of a review, also I certainly liked seeing the stages of construction and the facts of the process. I have a few of these little short jacket things in slinky fabric that I love and use a lot for travel, I got a sweater knit in zigaggy turquoise that I would love to make this in, so this was especially helpful to me. 9/7/06 11:54 AM
