Incidentally, why has the euphemism "derriere" become such common currency in sewing circles? "Stitches" uses it all the time and it makes me laugh - are we too coy to say backside or bottom these days? Buttocks? Seat? I feel like a Dud'nPete skit! Anyone else have an opinion on this?
