What beautiful fit. And equally stunning detailing. I do find the tips on fitting in this website useful, and although my figure type is quite different to yours (a flat backside is definitely not one of my problem adjustments) it is still great to see what people do and can do. Incidentally, why has the euphemism "derriere" become such common currency in sewing circles? "Stitches" uses it all the time and it makes me laugh - are we too coy to say backside or bottom these days? Buttocks? Seat? I feel like a Dud'nPete skit! Anyone else have an opinion on this? Does it mark me as incurably Antipodean (I am actually a New Zealander, so the cliches about Australians can't be applied - recent advertisements in the UK notwithstanding!)?

I'm so glad you reviewed this; I was looking at my Ottobre this afternoon and wondered how these patterns fit compared with eg Burda. They look great on you.

Thanks for another excellent review. I'm new at pants fitting and have the same problem you do with Flat Derriere, though I don't notice yours as much in the photos. Will study your tips and try to apply them on my next wearable (I Hope!) muslin. Both pair of pants are beautiful and professionally finished.
