Lou - the black dress in my photo album is McCalls 9036, c 1997, easy to sew, designed for knits. I am finishing another one in a different fabric and then will review the pattern! Sharon

After seeing your pictures, I can't wait to get started! When using jersey, do you recommend using any lining, interlining, or interfacing? I never know what inner supports go with what fabrics.

Hello Stasia! THis is one of my favorite patterns. I did not use any extra support for this design, just sewed it as instructed. No lining, no interfacing, no interlining. The fabrics I used were knits and had some weight to them, not slinky knits.

Thanks, Sharon! I chose a black jersey matte and am very excited about starting! I haven't had too much luck with Simplicity, but your review and photos have inspired me to try again.

You know, I made this dress about 5 years ago and it was a total mess. Maybe I need to dig it out again. It looks adorable!

All of your versions are very nice. It's nice to see it done in a thicker fabric as well as the summer version.
