You've made a stunning gown for your stunning daughter! The design is PERFECT for her, and your workmanship and artistry in the beading and adding the flounce is just wonderful! This gown should be in a wedding magazine! And I was honored to be your "sounding board" because following your thought processes on the bodice fitting was teaching ME fitting techniques, too!

This is simply awesome. What a truly beautiful dress - you must have been so proud. Beautiful gown - beautiful daughter - God Bless!! Did this for my DDIL and know know how much work has to go into turning out something this so totally perfect - congratulations!! I still remember all my the goose bumps and hidden tears as my DDIL entered the Church to the Wedding March - Soooo beautiful.

Debe, your gown for your DD--and those made by the other mothers here--just fills me with awe. I have only a son, and thus will probably never be involved with such a project (as far as I know), but what a marvelous thing to do for and with your daughter!

Wow! I was gone for a little while and came back to check my review and found all these wonderful comments! Thank you all! Leslie the failure of the NuBra was our fault, I'm sure. We applied it and re-applied it more than just a few times to get it to stay up there the way it did the first time she had tried it, and by then the adhesive gel just wasn't as sticky. One thing I forgot to mention- the C-cup of the NuBra is very small. It really looks like it should have been labled as a B-cup. If we had bought the next size up, it may have been more successful for her, but of course, you can't try them on. I will give the NuBra another try if I have another occasion to, for sure. I read this review eagerly, not just because your daughter looks so beautiful in her fabulous gown but because I have just been through the same process - my beloved daughter was married less than 2 weeks ago. I felt really emotional reading your review. There surely cannot be a more important sewing task than this and it is accompanied by such a rollercoaster of emotions. The joy of being asked, the knowledge of the complete faith of your daughter in your ability, the frustrations when alterations need so much time to resolve , the multitude of unforseen delays caused by life in general which rob you of precious time and the final high when you see your daughter ready for her wedding. Congratulations, she looks wonderful .

Fabulouso-o-o-o-o! Love everything about it. I know how much time and energy you put into this Debe, and the it shows. The dress is absolutely lovely and your daughter is a beautiful bride. I'm surprised (and really sorry) you had problems with the NuBra. I've never used the featherlite version, but I've worn the the regular version to outdoor concerts in the middle of a Texas summer and even then didn't have problems with the adhesive.
