That's a cute pattern. I know what you mean about skimpy instructions. I'm currently working on a 9-view McCalls pattern and I wonder why they even bothered to write instructions, they are such a mess.

I picked this pattern to use for a tennis skirt. I am 5'10" and need to find a good pattern I can alter for tennis, the RTW are usually too short for me. I'll give it a try and report back.

The skirt fit perfectly, true to size. If using this for tennis however, you should use a stretch (horizontal) knit so that you can have enough room for a tennis ball in your tennis panties. A ball pocket would be a nice addition on the skirt, in which case a back zip would be more appropriate...and you would want enough ease in the front to make room for the tennis ball in the pocket.

Thank you for your review. I love the idea of pockets (and have lots of pocket patterns to use). I too am making this for tennis... (so many wonderful patterns can be made into tennis clothes). I hope to try your pocket idea for the balls!
