The dress is darling, and your little girl is beautiful. Love the polka dots. (I didn't know that UV-protection was available--that's good to know.) You asked for ideas for circular hems: I always use a baby knife-edge hem which involves machine stitched on the underside close to the edge of a narrowly-turned hem allowance. Trim as close to the stitching as possible, then turn that hem and stitch again on top of the original stitching. Only one row of stitching will show on the right side of garment. I believe it was Georgene who described this technique (much better than I did) in the sewing tips and techniques section.

Adorable daughter in a very cute "I love polkadots" dress. This is a very successful project. I agree with Riordan about doing the teeny tiny hem at the bottom of circular skirts I have never found anything close to as successful as that.
