You asked for ideas for circular hems: I always use a baby knife-edge hem which involves machine stitched on the underside close to the edge of a narrowly-turned hem allowance. Trim as close to the stitching as possible, then turn that hem and stitch again on top of the original stitching. Only one row of stitching will show on the right side of garment.
