Mary Reed said... Thank you so much for the wonderfully detailed review. I have this pattern, but was immediately put off by the sheer number of pattern pieces. I put it away and haven't thought about it since. I need a light weight coat - I live in Tucson, Arizona, the Sonoran desert - and this may be just the thing. I love how you lengthened it, so I may copy you there.
What do you think of a drapey fabric? A rayon? Or is this design best with a firmer fabric - I do have a tropical weight wool that I could use with a light lining.
Thank you again for the wonderful review. 12/17/06 8:56 PM

I also like your substitution for buttonholes ... I might copy that as well! 12/18/06 5:38 PM
