I'm sorry this was a disappointment to sew, but it *looks* very cute with your great fabric combination.

Wow..it still looks very nice!! Thanks so much for your tips.. maybe she can wear it as an undergarment top like a layering piece under a dress or something..it can still look really cute?

Yep, can't beat the Kwik Sew patterns hey? Still I think it look really cute. Too bad about the fit of the pattern....we all know togs don't need ease, why don't the pattern makers?

It looks very nice! I'm sorry about the fit, maybe DD can wear it as a fashion top?

I like Tany and Zaneta's idea about using as a fashion top. Or put it away until she "fills" it out some more. 'Cos, it looks really cute!

My first thoughts based on the picture was how professional looking it is. Hongkongshopper had a good idea - put it away for awhile and maybe she'll fit it better later. It is a very cute looking suit.

Bummer Belinda - I'm sorry it didn't work out. Thank you for sharing your experience and it looks like KS is the clear winner for swimwear patterns. Good to know! I do think it looks cute in the picture tho and like the others said, maybe it will fit better at a later time.

I'm sorry it didn't work for you Belinda. I agree with you on the so much with this pattern. I too added elastic to the straps, I don't know how they think they would stay up without it! Then I sew the elastic in the back down - duplicating some RTW tankini's we have, instead of casing it as they have you do. As you know from my review I just pretty much remade the whole bottom part of the top . And forget the bottoms, I too grabbed a Kwik Sew. For us though, now that I got the fit down, & the quirks worked out, this tankini top stays around. Thanks for including my tip! You do such wonderful sewing - I love reading all your reviews!

Thanks for the caution. It looks so nice with the fabric you used though.
