You might want to layer it with a camisole or tank top to address the modesty issue. The gathers created by the knot would look out of place if they were higher up than bust level. 4/3/07 11:47 AM

slanden99 said... It depends on how high up you want to move the gathers. Melissa's looks great, but the gathers wouldn't look good on the upper chest (above the bust) 4/3/07 3:10 PM
MelissaB in WA said... Looking good! I was worried it was going to be too low on me too, but since I'm so small chested, I was able to cinch up the knot and not have a problem. It hugs my chest close and my bra doesn't show. It is a bit lower than some of my other tops, but it really isn't bothering to me since there isn't anything you can see on me! LOL Can't wait to see your "final draft"! 4/3/07 5:57 PM

So So said... You have certainly taken your time with this pattern and have not let it beat you. Well done you have a great result!
I to have thought about this top. But am clevagely challenged as it were! (mastectomy). I thought about top/cami underneath etc. What do you think about a solid T front with the tie fronts as an overlay as it were? Or do you think this would be to much? bulky ????? 4/10/07 7:41 AM
Nancywin said... Sorry this didn't work for you. I think it looks very nice on you - especially with the under top showing. A lacy camisole would look nice peeking out as well. I just received some onionskin from EOS and have never worked with this fabric before. Any challenges we should be aware of? 4/10/07 10:11 AM
Sigrid. said... So So, I think using a T-front and add the tie fronts is a good idea, if you use a fabric that is light-weight.
Nancywin: this was my first time with an onionskin, and found it easy to work with, I did nothing special. 4/10/07 10:44 AM
