| Elaray | 4/18/07 | I love swirly skirts, too. Your hem treatment probably works better than the suggested treatment. Great review |

| Marji | 4/18/07 | Another case of the made up item looking way better than the pattern illustration.

| Seamingly Simple | 4/18/07 | I have this pattern but haven't tried it yet. This looks way better sewn up than it does on the pattern envelope. Your fabric choices were ideal. |

| Debbie Cook | 4/18/07 | I love the KS gored skirts too. Very easy to make but so feminine and pretty! You look very happy wearing it! |

| Elona | 4/18/07 | Your skirt looks even cuter than the pattern photo--and that one is pretty darn cute! |

| Vonnevo | 4/18/07 | Beautiful stylish skirt Jane !
A lady who works in my local fabric shop has made this skirt four times and each one looks very different. One I particularly like is black, with black lace flounces. Thank you for sharing with us :)) |

| fatbaby | 4/19/07 | I just love the skirt and the review also. Very detailed. One quick question. How did you figure the size to make the rectangle for your slip> Also how do you calculate for the length of the elastic for your skirts?
Great Review

| Jane S | 4/19/07 | Thanks everyone for your nice comments. I'm so grateful to everyone on PR who has taught me so much, not just about sewing but about just doing it!! Wanda, I had a half slip that fit me fine already so I just copied it by pinning it to my cutting table, stretching out the top elastic, tracing the full outline then added seam allowances. Tricot doesn't stretch much so I made 1" seam allowance to test it. I used lingerie elastic which is fairly loose, not very binding. I reduced the measurement a larger amount of inches from my waist measurement knowing that the stetch factor is fairly "soft." (Think of the elastic on the legs of underwear versus elastic on a skirt casing) Hope that helps. |

| berryjoy | 4/23/08 | I am making this skirt-the long version in a fine crepe polyester. I found your advice on using the three step hemming method for those flounces very helpful. I was having trouble using the rolled hem method and was on the verge of giving up. So thank you. I'm going to love this skirt. |
