Both skirts are very nice. The black & white one is a lot of fun with the checks, & the embroidery on the white one give it an elegant touch. This pattern line has some neat styles.

Thanks everyone for your comments! Sherril, I thought about that too, but being very short (1.55 m - this is less than 5 two, I think) I try to avoid horizontal lines that would "break" me visually. I should avoid check prints as well, but when it's about black and white... I simply can't resist :)

That's a great skirt pattern and you've turned out some cute skirts. The B/W fabric skirt could use that same ribbon that you used at them hem along the yoke seamline since you already gave it some embellishment. it would make the seam stand out better.
