Thank you for all the tips. I have the pattern but have not made it yet. Your review will be very helpful to me.

Thank you for this review. I just bought this pattern and probably wouldn't have been able to figure out the problems as you did and have ended up with a wadder! What did you do differently on the pocket construction?

What a shame you had such trouble with this pattern. A photo would be good.

I have this pattern also. This review will be very helpful when I get round to making it. It looks very stylish so this is a shame

Thank you for an excellent review. I wonder if Marcy Tilton is aware of the flange error? Since she sells the pattern on her website, I'm sure she'd appreciate a head's up. HAN, would you be willing to write her about this? I don't have enough drafting knowledge to be able to discuss it intelligently. It's such a good design for my body shape that I am looking forward to making the jacket. Now I know what to correct, which is a great help. Thanks again. Sue

I was about to order this pattern from voguepatterns.com but decided to check PatternReview first. I'm glad I did, because now I won't buy it. I don't want to make all those adjustments.

Thank you for your honest assessment of this pattern.

I agree that the Hong Kong finish on the seam before the godet is sewed in is really pointless.

i wrote to Marcy Tilton today about the drafting error. I found that I had to re-draft the shoulder too. I did it the MT way the first time and it looked really silly. The flange stuck up at a crazy angle. When I undid the shoulder, recut the shoulder seam, re-sewed the shoulder seam, and re-sewed the flange, it looked normal.
