How did you go about drafting the pattern? From what I can recall (always a danger there,) the Classic Tailoring Techiniques book talks about fit and cutting, but not the initial drafting of the pattern. The pants look great!

Textillian..your right that the Classic Tailoring book has mostly construction and fitting techniques. I drafted the pattern by just laying the RTW out flat (with on leg turned in the other) and traced the stitching lines, added in the pleats, and added some seam allowance. I had to play around a bit to get the crotch curve right...did some measuring and then just free-handed it trying to get as close a I could. I'll tweak it again on the next pair I make as I think it need to be just a tad longer. But they fit well enough for the 1st go.
