I first learned how to make this top in a sewing class at Stone Mountain and Daughter in Berkeley, the only place I can find Titus patterns, and have made it twice, one for myself and another for a friend who's the exact same size as me. I'm a beginner and found it very doable, despite a few wrong turns (completely my fault, not the pattern's). Just a warning, the dots on one side of the yoke were a bit off on my pattern. Not that big of deal, but it did throw off my sewing at first. Also, for beginners, make sure when sewing on the sleeves that the ends of the sleeves match up with the ends of the armholes. The fabric should stretch to accomodate matching the ends. Like I said before, the end result, if done right, is fantastic. The volume of the blouse is very chic and in style right now. As a small girl, it gave me the illusion of a bust, but a few people in my class, who were a little curvier, found it not as flattering on them. I definitely recommend calling this store and having them send the pattern to you. It's worth the shipping! | | * * * |
