This pattern may say 'the new burda', but they don't mean -that- new, it looks like it's easily 10 years old :-). And Burda did hang on to 80s armholes longer than most. So if you want to know what your size would be in a regular armhole, start with a current pattern. In fact, plus-size patterns are still overly loose in the armholes imho, you need the 'young' patterns to give a really good fit there.
