Lovely jacket! It fits you beautifully. And I am so jealous of your NY fabric purchase. As another Aussie, it is a long way to go fabric shopping!!

I love what you did with this pattern. I haven't made it again, but if I do, I'll use your approach to scale down the extended shoulders and substitute a more fitted sleeve. Beautifully done!

Beautiful jacket. Interesting info about "over interfacing". Thank you for the thoughtful review

Outstanding fit. I agree, just a tad more on the sleeves, but even that is mere opinion. It's perfect the way it is. Your fabric is stunning. Sounds like you put a lot of work into it so I hope you enjoy it for a long, long time. It's beautiful.

Your jacket looks beautiful. Thanks for the tip on the chain and the picture of it. (I have a couple of items that "ride up" as I wear them and your chain fix just might do the trick.)

Your jacket looks great! I love the green/blackherringbone wool too. And I, too, like a 10 at the shoulders morphing to a 14 below on jackets. A 12 is my "base" size but those multi-sized patterns make things so easy. Is this a multi-sized one?

Ryan's mom, the pattern envelope I bought contains sizes 12,14 and 16 which is great for me because I move through those sizes for various parts of my upper body.

Karen thsi is truly beautiful - I am in love with it. My local fabric store had this exact cloth and I have never thought of using it - this is such a wonderful looking jacket I wish I had bought some instead of sticking to the uber safe black and white version!

What a stunning garment!! And, the color is fabulous on you!! Your feelings about the extended shoulders are absolutely true!! I am morphing 10 to 14 too!! And I am guilty of over interfacing jackets. Your jacket is proof that sometimes less is more!!

SO pretty, and it fits you beautifully. I love the color, as well! I've looked and looked for hemline chains as you've used here, and I must be looking in the wrong places, because I've yet to find them. They add such a designer touch, though, I love them. I've actually used curtain weights hidden in the hem before, but I'd much rather be using that pretty chain! :o)

What a flattering jacket! It was interesting to read your comment about over interfacing jackets, because in many books, for example Jackets For Real People, they tell you to interface basically everything, while in the pattern instructions they only tell you to interface the collar and facing!
