Thank you so much for your kind comments! I owe it all to the internet! That is how I found Sarah Veblen, the great classes here at patternreview and all the blogs and discussions. Everyone shares their knowledge generously so I have vowed to start writing detailed reviews to "give back" to the community. Y'all are THE BEST!!

I knew exactly what pattern this was, as soon as I saw your fabulous jacket in the review gallery. Said pattern currently is part of a semblance of a stack that's on my short list of possibilities. (My short list is about 100 patterns worth.) Your jacket is lovely and it fits you beautifully. I admire your attention to detail in matching all those loosely woven little houndsteeth. Would that be houndsteeth, houndstooths or houndstoothices? Ha! Whatever the case, your extra effort really paid off, as I'm sure you'll be wearing this beauty for years to come.

Kudos!!! If this is your first attempt at tailoring techniques, you have over achieved! What a stunning jacket with such remarkable matching of the houndstooth check. You certainly have made a classic jacket to wear and treasure for the long run.

I know the hand-sewing took a long time, but it sure did pay off! Very classy looking jacket, with all of the details just right.
