Even though it's pretty, and even with the shoes and jewelry, I'm def getting the nightgown vibe. Sorry. OTH, the dark off the shoulder glittery dress a bit further back in your flickr album is so sophisticated and flattering and gorgeous.

Where else would you have the use of several evening gowns :-)? I think the black one is very elegant, but this is a good contrast, just so you don't put the audience to sleep. It's very ..pink, but it has the virtue of being really different from black. I say what the hell, wear it, and no doubt you'll find people who'll prefer it :-).

Despite the fact that you do not care for this dress, I think you look beautiful in it. Thank you very much for the review!

No, not Pepto Bismol! Think um, rose buds or camellias or something. I agree the black one is awesome, but this is pretty and a neat contrast to the other. And I agree with Sic that you look lovely... in both. And remember that it's unlikely your cruisemates will a) know what BWOF even means and b) will be PR junkies. ;)

Honest and straightforward review and curiously enjoyed it, interesting to know how you solved a problem with fusible webbing, I will keep that technique in my mind, and like other say, you still manage to look gorgeous in this!

I must admit that when I clicked on your review I was intrigued, because I saw that the category of garment was formal wear, but I thought the photo looked like really gorgeous lingerie. So I agree with you on this, even though it really is a very lovely garment. Very pretty and feminine.

While the evening gown does have a bit of lingerie influence, given that it's for a cruise, I think you'll look appropriate and of course, the colors are very island-bound. You do look lovely in dress, shoes and jewelry. -Lily

Well, I haven't seen your black one yet and I think it's quite beautiful on you. The pink (I prefer the petal vs pepto description) brings out a lovely color in your face. Have fun wearing it and feel gorgeous in it.

The dress is beautiful but I agree with you about the lingerie quality. Have you thought of wearing a merry widow under it to give yourself a little more, ah, umph, lol? The only other suggestion I could make would be to use some sequins on the trim to give it some weight, which might tame the sleeve curves a bit. It looks lovely with the jewellery and shoes so I don't think anyone will get the wrong impression. Your dresses are all gorgeous. I'm sure you'll be a big hit at dinner. Enjoy the cruise and your terrific wardrobe. Sue

Thank you for all your helpful comments! I did try several different kinds of undergarments, and none of them helped much because the camisole already fits so closely. Part of the problem was that the neckline was so low most of them showed. I will definitely bring the dress along on my trip, and if the mood strikes that way then I can wear it. I would not wear it for a one-time occasion but there certainly will be lots of formals on this trip! I do appreciate all of your honest opinions--thank you!

This is so pretty and delicate looking, and I like the long lines on you. Very 1930s, and very chic. It's so surprising sometimes how the most elegantly simple designs can be so labor intensive.

This dress is very beautiful. Do you know the saying " Pink to make the boys wink " ? Get DH? practising and wear your dress with pride.

Shoot. I bought the issue mostly for this. Sorry it was fussy and didn't work out.
