Pattern with more than 5 reviews! << Previous Review Next Review >> | Reader Comments | | Elona | 6/11/08 | As I mentioned in a comment on fuzzygalore's review, I made view A as a skinsuit to wear while snorkling in the tropics, and found it generally a good pattern, with a couple of caveats: 1. I have extremely muscular legs, and found that the diameter of the pattern at the calves was too small for me. Not by much, but it's something to be aware of if you know you have big muscles. 2. It's been a couple of years, but I remember some problem with the zipper installation, bad enough that I called Kwik Sew, got the designer on the phone, and she agreed that the instructions for putting in the zipper-as illustrated--would simply not work. Darn it, I can't recall exactly what was wrong anymore, but I think it was at the bottom of the zipper. Whatever the problem was, I figured out a way around it, so it wasn't too serious, I guess. | | * * * | | LisaG | 6/12/08 | Oh My Gosh--you're Harley Quinn! You did a great job on this costume! The giant hammer is an excellent touch! My husband and I have been talking for years about throwing a superhero party and dressing as the Joker and Harley. Now I know where to get the pattern! Thanks for this review! (P.S. Harley Quinn is my favorite villian. I even named my cat after her!) | | * * * | | Arichelic | 8/17/08 | Haha, you used it for a Harley Quinn cosplay. That's awesome. That's actually what I was looking to use it for. Otherwise I was going to grab a leotard/leggings pattern and splice them together.
But do you think just making it a size smaller for the arms/where it needs to be tighter would work? Because I was thinking about doing that. | | * * * | | AidenDelanko | 10/8/09 | Awesome costume!
You say it's quite loose, do you think this patter could be easily altered to fit very closely? I'm making a "Cats" costume, so it needs to be practically a second skin! | | * * * | |
