I can't believe that embroidery is from a home machine. I'm so excited to try it. these are stinking adorable. I love all your kids clothes!

Here's how I do the butt ruffles (courtesy of another Ottobre pattern): Finish the long edges with a serger rolled hem, run two lines of gathering stitches down the strip, pull up to fit, then stitch to the garment with one line down the middle of the strip between the two lines of gathering stitches. Pull out the gathering stitches and you're done. Using two lines of gathering stitches is actually faster than one, I've found, because they make it easier to fuss with the gathers and to be ripped out at the end.

Ooh, how do you make those butt ruffles? I've been wondering. Just stitch down the middle and pull?
