Wow, Kel, what a fabulous bag and what a wonderful coincidence. I recently bought this OOP pattern and was planning to make the Chanel bag you made (View C) -- in gray quilted Ultrasuede. I might also make the Hermes Kelly bag (View A) in gray Ultraleather. Today I finished a Bottega Venetta woven totebag in black Ultraleather with a braided strap. I'll post my review in the next day or so. It's great fun to knock off these superexpensive classics, isn't it. Incidentally, how did you do the quilting? Did you use a walking foot? What did you use underneath the suede? I might use fusible fleece.

Thanks for the comments, Annette1 and Nancy 2001. To answer your question nancy, I used fusible fleece and I use a non stick foot along with a quilting foot. The quilting foot made quick work of the quilting. I used a fabric pencil and mark a diagonal line center of a retangle piece of fabric (per the pattern piece and sewed along that line. Then I positioned the quilting foot on the machine a distance of 1" from needle and align the quilting foot over the already stitced line and stitch the next line. I just continued to align the quilting foot over each previous stitch line until I cover the entire rectangle in one direction. Then I do the same thing in the opposite direction. You don't have to contantly draw lines. You end up with straight lines and a beautiful quilted fabric.
