Thank you very much for a story that I can take with me as I go on vacation and will be unable to sew. Your description of the design process, and the details you were faced with are inspiring to me, a beginner. I love the dress, and am particularly taken with the tendrils "growing" across the front. What a friend you are!!

WOW! I love the tendrils on the green dress also, and am wondering how they're holding their shape also. Valerie's jewelry sets off the neckline beautifully also. Oh, and I'm (or was - youngest is 12) a big Sew Beautiful fan too, what have you designed in it?

Gorgeous neckline and little sleeves on this dress. Like many others, I was captivated by the curling tendrils on the green dress. Your hard work on this project was worth it.

Stunning - and I, too, love that neckline with the vines. I do hope you respond to the questions on how you created those and how they hold their shape. Are they removable when having to clean the dress?

What a tremendous result! And so many good photos of various points along the way. The embellishment is truly unique and I know that I will try to work in something like this in the future. This would be the "hippest" mother of the bride dress I have ever seen.

What a lucky friend you have, This is an outstanding design. A classic, classic design and beautiful. I would love to have details on HOW you made the vines and leaves. Did you use wire inside to mold them? Again, great job.

Absolutely beautiful, as a biology teacher, I especially love the pea tendrils. I am assuming those cords are on the bias but what did you use for the cording. Love that detail. And congratulations. Kaaren

I wish I could save this in a file to refer to when I make a flounce etc. You are truly gifted. Wow, this is absolutely amazing. What a beautiful design and wonderfully done. Thank you so much for sharing, I love the flounce and now I know how I can make one. I have added circular ruffles to some pjs for DGDs but now I know how to make them something really special. Thank you for sharing, you are a remarkable seamstress.

I have redesigned patterns and thought I would never get done. But after reading your review and viewing the pictures, I realize all the steps are necessary for the design process and I learned a lot. The dress is lovely and a work of art. The next time I redesign a pattern, I will have more confidence and patience. Thank you. You have no idea how much you've helped me. And, I would also like to say "Airline, your comment was unnecessary and very inappropriate".

I didn't find your review tedious or too long at all. It was a fascinating read. I just didn't realize that the neck embellishment, which was stunning. (In fact, I thought it mad the dress!) Keep designing, I can't imagine having the patience!!

I did not mind the long review - in fact, it was helpful to me to have so many pictures to look at and to follow your train of thought throughout the entire process. The finished dress is quite lovely and charming, and what a wonderful gift to your friend! Those tendrils are so pretty and special, but will not detract from the beauty of the wearer. You are quite talented, thanks for sharing this.
