What a nice cool dress for summer. I think cutting the front and back in one piece would make the pattern matching eaier, but what about the grain? are the centr front and back on the straight grain?

Yes, the centre front and back are both on straight grain (from memory!) - all the bias swing is at the sides. Must check that!
