The comp photos are so tiny on the screen, and it takes almost a minute to download each one on my computer, but yours was one of several I chose in 'blur' mode, to enlarge, and yours is the only one I read reviews of. The word 'whimsy' comes to mind, as well as other review descriptors. I did wonder about the time taken from start to finish, especially given your state of infanticipation! I also like the idea that you won't make it again, preferring to move on to new challenges. Bravo! Bravo! Jolly well done!

Thanks for the nice comments. Start to finish was probably 6-8 hours. I am a very slow sewer. I also tend to start sewing projects at inappropriate times :-) I should have been prepping for baby but my husband was really nice about it - cleaning the kitchen many nights so I could sew. He was just so tickled about how cute his little pumpkin fairy would be!

Casby, what a cute costume and an adorable gorgeous fairy. This is certainly a pattern with lots of possibilities. Congratulations on your honorable mention in the costume contest.
