Diane E 11/7/03Oh pretty! Great complement to the turtleneck. Wonderful way to keep your sis warm.

Lisa Laree 11/7/03It even looks warm!

Debbie Spriggs 11/7/03This makes a very pretty combo! Timely too, as I've been looking at pullover patterns like this. Thanks for the helpful review.

Janet D 11/7/03Pretty as always! I have one of these cut and ready to sew. I'm going to use your idea for the front yokes and zipper. Thanks for the review.

Celeste 11/7/03What does the bipolar refer to as the type of fleece? Is the 200 a medium weight fleece?
* * *
Gigi Louis 11/7/03Celeste, the smooth outer surface sheds snow/water and the inner shearling surface traps body heat. It retains it's insulating properties even when wet. I checked the Malden Mills store and don't see it - it's probably one of those things available as a special/overrun or if you are ordering for manufacturing. Yes, the 200wt. is a medium-weight fleece. It can be used for pants, pullovers/sweatshirts, lt. jackets, hats, etc. The 100 wt. is more suitable for first layers in a layering system or for milder climates while the 300 wt. is pretty heavy/bulky. The 200 wt. is my favorite and the most versatile.

Mary 11/8/03Beautiful job Gigi! I like the zipper hardware alot, but can't find a source for pretty zip pulls or zippers. Do you have an online source?
* * *
Gigi Louis 11/8/03Mary, sadly I do not have a source. I have a ton of zippers that I bought at Rose City Textiles in Portland and the rest I pick up in the garment district in Miami. I have a zipper habit too - I buy nice ones whenever I see them and hope to find a future use for them. One place to look for interesting pulls is your local craft store - they have all sorts of charms that, with the addition of a split ring, can become zipper pulls.

Mary 11/10/03I waws browsing the web for zippers and found an interesting site for zippers and labels. More suitable for pro sewers who sell there goods, although it looks like you can order smaller quantities of the zippers. Neat eye candy for zip pull lovers!
