Love your jacket - it's so cute! Now I have to go and check out this pattern to add to my growing wishlist! I agree with you on the hood construction; I don't do the basting thing either!

Great thinking adding the band! Looks like the pattern was drafted that way. I wouldn't have thought to do that. Looks great! Thanks for the tip about the sizing.
