| Pattern Description: Wide Leg Pants with Fly Front and Pockets
Pattern Sizing: I made 38, which fit me in Burda. I forgot to add the S/A, so sewed it with a 1/4" S/A and I'm pleased with the fit.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, except I made them as capris.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Mostly. Ottobre directions somewhat assume you know what you are doing. I used various onling tutorials for the fly.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? They're a little wide for my taste. Overall though, I'm pretty happy to have such decent fitting pants.
Fabric Used: Black Twill, probably cotton with some spandex
Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made: Made them into Capris. Also, as noted above they were sewn 1/4" smaller than the size cut, since I forgot to add the S/A!
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I would like to change the leg line a little, but I will probably make these again, maybe as shorts?
Conclusion: This was a good pattern for beginner like me! This was only my second pair of fly front pants and I'm pleased with the results.
