Pattern Description: Lowcut, very flared Jeans
Pattern Sizing: I stuck with my normal 38, even though it looked like it was going to be too tight and it was a good choice.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Burda directions are not my favorite, but they were fine. I didn't use their directions for the fly.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? My favorite part: Jeans, that actually fit pretty well! Also, the pattern was cheaper and easier to buy quickly than some of the other reccomended womens jeans patterns. Things I didn't like: These pants are so flared, they're pretty much bell bottoms. And the back pockets were crazy big. They looked silly.
Fabric Used: Denim from Joanns
Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made: I made the pockets quilte a bit smaller. I used a RTW pair of jeans and copied them for sizing. Also, I took about 1" off of each side of the lower part of the leg. I would probably take more off next time. I also took some off from the back yoke middle, so the waist wouldn't gap. I probably could have adjusted it more, but I'm really new to pants making and don't know how to do the adjustments correctly yet.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I'm really not wanting to make jeans anytime again soon, but I would use this pattern again. I would like to try the Jalie pattern also, though. I would reccomend this pattern to others.
Conclusion: This is great jeans pattern if you like a fairly trendy fit.
