Pattern Description: Woven top with ruched bodice, straps and several sleeve options. It also has a top or tunic length option.
Pattern Sizing: I made a size 12. I think I should have made the next smallest size.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Mostly.
Were the instructions easy to follow? They were okay. I'm not a huge fan of most pattern directions and try to figure out everything I can without reading them!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the bodice. I changed quite a few things, so it's hard to say what I didn't like.
Fabric Used: Freshcut by Heather Bailey quilting cotton
Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made: I omitted the tie and changed the front band (which was sticking out) into piping. I took it in a lot at the sides and a little on the straps. The tie would have probably made the side adjustments unnecesary. I made the tunic length, but I think I might go back and cut it a bit shorter.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I'm pretty happy with the finished top, but I don't think I'll be making this again. It wouldn't be my first choice of patterns to reccomend to someone, but I think it is a cute pattern with a few modifications.
Conclusion: This turned out to be a pretty cute woven top, but I had to make quite a few changes to get there. It is a cute pattern, though, if you don't mind fussing a bit with your patterns.
