Pattern Description:
Misses' vest and skirts. The vest is lined and has a front button closure. The pull-on skirt has elastic at the waist, front and back panel seams and flounces at the sides. View A is made from three different fabrics.
Pattern Sizing:XS-XL I used XL
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?Kwik Sew always has great instructions and this one is no different.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the flirty swing to the hemline. There was nothing I disliked about this pattern.
Fabric Used: quilting cotton from Hancock's
Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made: I took a 1in tuck at the "fold here" line to make it petite.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I highly recommend this to others. It's quite distinctive, so I don't know if I'll more more summer skirts, but I do see at least one winter skirt in my future. Conclusion:
My new vintage pattern didn't arrive in time to become my birthday outfit, so I had to run out, get fabric and patterns for one. I was happy to discover that this skirt takes less than 2 hours from cutting to hemming. It is the perfect skirt when you need something flattering and stylish in a short amount of time.

This is one of my favorite skirts. Love yours too - great fabric. I think you can definitely have more than one per season ... if not, I'm in trouble. LOL! But really, solids and prints all look different to most anyone who doesn't sew and no one but you will know.
VERY cute, Andrea. I had seen this skirt made up quite some time ago and liked it so well I bought the pattern. Now you're inspiring me to actually MAKE it -- ha!
