I ended up edge-stitching inside the seamline from the outside. More problematic for me is that the hems on the tulip sleeves tend to flip. I'm hoping it's related to my choice of fabric. | | * * * | | JEF | 6/7/09 | I have had to topstitch down several seam allowances on Jalie patterns. The patterns haven't suggested this; I did it because, like you, I had flipping up seams that I didn't care for. I did have trouble on one because I stretched the fabric as I was topstitching in order to get it to move (it kept stalling) and that created a bit of wavyness so be careful with that.
BTW - your top is adorable and I know why you got the compliments! | | * * * | | Kellie R. | 6/7/09 | Cute top! | | * * * | | Lois K. | 6/8/09 | Your top looks lovely! I have been admiring this top for a while & I know that some earlier reviews had a lot of information about handling the neckline, so you could look back over them for ideas. | | * * * | | Grammy Gin | 6/10/09 | Love this top! It looks great on you! | | * * * | |
