Nice idea with the colorblocking..it really adds to the simple lines of this dress. i tried a very similar pattern for my dd and was frustrated that the sizing was too off. I might try this.

Much as I'd like to, I can't take any credit for the color blocking. This remnant was all rolled up and all I could see was the blue stripe I placed in the middle of the dress. When I opened up the fabric I found that it was actually 6 different stripes right across the whole width. J has since seen and tried the dress on. It was a hit but the 4 is a bit too large. I've been given the go-ahead (please, please !) to make more. Size 3 next time, I think.
