I made sweatshirt View A.
Pattern Sizing:Men's S to XXL. I made size Medium with some alterations.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions are very easy to follow and the pictures are great. I love that each edge of the pattern pieces is labeled.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? This is a very simple pattern and the results look very RTW. This was the style sweatshirt my son wanted for snowboarding.
Fabric Used:Organic cotton sweatshirt fleece and organic cotton ribbing, both from fabric.com.
Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made:My son wanted the sweatshirt to have a large neckline as he doesn't like his neck constricted, so I made the size L neck opening. He wanted his sleeves long enough to cover his hands while snowboarding, so I cut the sleeves long. He wanted the sweatshirt long enough to cover his snowboard pants and tapered so that it will stay close to his body and not flap in the wind, so I tapered the sides and made it the XXL length. He is very pleased that the shirt doesn't balloon out in back or front like his RTW sweatshirts. side The shirt looks long but that is the way he wanted it. This way it will cover the top of his snowboard pants, which he wears low.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?I will certainly sew it again. My son would like more sweatshirts like this and my husband wants some sweatshirts too. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to make a simple pullover sweatshirt.
Conclusion: I hesitated between choosing easy and great for beginners, highly recommend, and great wardrobe builder as the designation. This pattern is all of these. It is quick and easy and the results look RTW.
