I don't like this blouse, but it never had a chance. I don't like the fabric. I never liked plaids. Now that I see the photograph of me in this blouse, I know why. I look like Richie Cunningham! Trust me. That's not the look I was going for. The pattern was fine - only the plaid fabric prevented this from being a fantastic blouse. And yes, there is a reason I bought the fabric, but I won't go into it here.

Pattern Description:
Short sleeved, button front, oxford shirt styled blouse with back yoke. Both long and short sleeved versions are available.

Pattern Sizing:
Plus size pattern: 1x - 4x

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow?
Kwik Sew instructions have never given me any problems. They are always very clear.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Kwik Sew's plus size collection rarely has any interesting design details. The most interesting detail about this pattern is the separate upper and under collars. I don't remember, but I think most Kwik Sew patterns use the same pattern piece for both the upper and under collar. I wanted a basic, short sleeved blouse pattern and you can't get more basic than Kwik Sew.

Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made:
I didn't make any changes or alterations to this blouse.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
This really is a good basic blouse pattern. It can be finished in one day. I recommend it if a fast and easy blouse is needed.

Conclusion:
This is a good pattern to use if you have really fantastic fabric and you don't want the pattern to be in conflict with the fabric.

You did a wonderful job on matching the plaid, and even without seeing your inner "works" I can tell that this blouse is well-constructed just by the way it hangs on you. Of course we can't see your face (have we ever?) but I think it looks nice on you actually.

Mini	8/20/09	thanks for reviewing this - it's been on my lit of things to do for a while, but I was waiting to see it at PR first. I'm with you when it comes to plaids. I would look like Paul Bunyan's big sister. But, it fits you beautifully so in another fabric it will be a knock out:).
