Pattern Description: From the envelope: Skirts fit slightly below waist. View A & B are gathered to fitted yoke, have zipper in side seam, and optional belt loops and sash. Sash is from contrast fabric. View C and D are slightly A-lined and have casing on outside with ribbon drawstring. I made View A with the optional sash.
Pattern Sizing: Misses' sizes XS-XL. I made a small for my daughter and it was a bit big. Her measurements fall between the XS and S sizes, so I went for the larger size. I think a small would have fit her better. The sash helps cinch up the waist just enough.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, as always with Kwik Sew. I used the 'turning tubes of fabric' tip to make the belt loop fabric faster and easier to turn. That method always saves me time and frustration!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I think the skirt has a very cute shape and seems like it will be comfortable to wear. It looks very youthful.
Fabric Used: A beautiful cotton/lycra stretch woven from my local quilt shop.
Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made: None.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I will probably sew it again. DD likes it very much and has already requested more. This is a straightforward pattern in a cute style, so yes I would recommend it to others.
