Very cute bag. I love your fabric choice. Have you ever tried fusible fleece for interfacing bags? I use it on all my bags now after learning about that from some other reviewers. It gives the bag body but keeps it light and soft. It's particularly good for straps.

Your granddaughter is too cute and so is the purse. I've been looking for a small bag pattern to use up jelly roll pieces and this pattern might work

Hi DorothyK--Yes, I agree with you that fusible fleece is a great option for bags, and I did use it on the back of this bag, instead of batting. However, I didn't use ANY interfacing on the front, and I think it could have used some, even lightweight. In the future, I will use fusible fleece on most straps -- good suggestion.
